You can recognise an encrypted connection by the string “https://” and the padlock symbol in your browser's address bar.

2) Data collected when you visit our website

4) Cookies

To make visiting our website attractive and to enable the use of certain functions, we use so-called cookies on various pages. These are small text files that are stored on your device. Some of the cookies we use are deleted at the end of the browser session, i.e. when you close your browser (so-called session cookies). Other cookies remain on your device and allow us to recognise your browser on your next visit (so-called persistent cookies). When cookies are set, they collect and process certain user information such as browser and location data as well as IP address values to an individual extent. Persistent cookies are deleted automatically after a specified period, which may vary depending on the cookie. You can check how long each cookie is stored in the overview of cookie settings in your web browser.

In some cases, cookies serve to simplify the ordering process by saving settings (e.g. remembering the contents of a virtual basket for a later visit to the website). Where personal data is also processed by individual cookies used by us, the processing is carried out either in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for the performance of the contract, in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR where consent has been given, or in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to safeguard our legitimate interests in the best possible functionality of the website and a customer-friendly and effective design of the visit to the website.

Please note that you can set your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and can decide individually whether to accept them, or exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general. Each browser differs in the way it manages cookie settings. This is described in the help menu of each browser, which explains how you can change your cookie settings. 7) Data processing for order processing

7.1 To process your order, we work with the service provider(s) listed below, who support us in whole or in part in performing concluded contracts. Certain personal data is transferred to these service providers in accordance with the following information.

The personal data we collect will be passed on to the transport company commissioned with the delivery as part of contract processing, insofar as this is necessary for the delivery of the goods. We pass on your payment data to the commissioned credit institution as part of payment processing, insofar as this is necessary for payment processing. Where payment service providers are used, we explicitly inform you about this below. The legal basis for passing on the data is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.

7.2 Use of specialist service providers for order handling and processing

- JTL
Orders are processed via the service provider "JTL" (JTL-Software-GmbH, Rheinstr. 7, 41836 Hückelhoven, Germany). Your name, address and, where applicable, other personal data are passed on to JTL in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR exclusively for the purpose of processing the online order. Your data is only passed on insofar as this is actually necessary for processing the order. Details on JTL's data protection and the privacy policy of JTL-Software-GmbH can be found at: https://www.jtl-software.de/Datenschutz
- Shopify Digital Downloads
Orders are processed via the "Digital Downloads" service of Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland (“Shopify”). The customer's email address and, where applicable, first name and surname are passed on to Shopify in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR exclusively for the processing of online orders. Your data is only passed on insofar as this is actually necessary for processing the order. Details on data protection and Shopify's privacy policy can be found at https://www.shopify.de/legal/datenschutz.

For the accounting and logistical organisation of orders, we use the “Order Printer” service of Shopify International Limited, Victoria Buildings, 2nd Floor, 1-2 Haddington Road, Dublin 4, D04 XN32, Ireland (“Shopify”) to automatically create invoices, receipts, shipping labels and other business documents. Where personal order data is processed via the service to prepare these documents, the processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR exclusively for the proper processing of online orders.

7.3 Use of payment service providers

- Amazon Pay
If you select the payment method "Amazon Pay", payment is processed by the payment service provider Amazon Payments Europe s.c.a., 38 avenue J.F. Kennedy, L-1855 Luxembourg (hereinafter “Amazon Payments”), to whom we pass on the information you provide during the ordering process together with information about your order in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data is passed on exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with the payment service provider Amazon Payments and only insofar as this is necessary. Further information on Amazon Payments' data protection provisions is available at: https://pay.amazon.com/de/help/201751600
- Apple Pay
If you choose the “Apple Pay” payment method of Apple Distribution International (Apple), Hollyhill Industrial Estate, Hollyhill, Cork, Ireland, payment is processed via the “Apple Pay” function of your iOS, watchOS or macOS device by charging a payment card stored in “Apple Pay”. Apple Pay uses security features built into your device's hardware and software to protect your transactions. To authorise a payment, you must therefore enter a code you have set beforehand and verify it using the “Face ID” or “Touch ID” function of your device.
For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is passed on to Apple in encrypted form. Apple then encrypts this data again with a developer-specific key before the data is transmitted to the payment service provider of the payment card stored in Apple Pay to carry out the payment. The encryption ensures that only the website through which the purchase was made can access the payment data. Once the payment has been made, Apple sends your device account number and a transaction-specific, dynamic security code to the originating website to confirm that the payment was successful.
Where personal data is processed in the transfers described, processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Apple retains anonymised transaction data, including the approximate purchase amount, the approximate date and time, and whether the transaction was successfully completed. Anonymisation completely rules out any personal reference. Apple uses the anonymised data to improve “Apple Pay” and other Apple products and services.
If you use Apple Pay on your iPhone or Apple Watch to complete a purchase made via Safari on your Mac, the Mac and the authorising device communicate via an encrypted channel on Apple's servers. Apple does not process or store any of this information in a format that can identify you. You can disable the option to use Apple Pay on your Mac in your iPhone settings. Go to "Wallet & Apple Pay" and turn off "Allow Payments on Mac".
Further information on data protection with Apple Pay is available at: https://support.apple.com/de-de/HT203027
- Google Pay
If you choose the “Google Pay” payment method of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”), payment is processed via the “Google Pay” app on your NFC-enabled mobile device running at least Android 4.4 (“KitKat”) by charging a payment card stored in Google Pay or a payment system verified there (e.g. PayPal). To authorise a payment of more than €25 via Google Pay, you must first unlock your mobile device using the verification method you have set up (such as face recognition, password, fingerprint or pattern).
For the purpose of payment processing, the information you provide during the ordering process, together with information about your order, is passed on to Google. Google then transmits your payment information stored in Google Pay to the originating website in the form of a one-time transaction number, which is used to verify that a payment has been made. This transaction number does not contain any information about the actual payment data of the payment methods stored in Google Pay, but is created and transmitted as a one-time numeric token. In all transactions via Google Pay, Google acts solely as an intermediary for processing the payment. The transaction is carried out exclusively between the user and the originating website by charging the payment method stored in Google Pay.
Where personal data is processed in the transfers described, processing is carried out exclusively for the purpose of payment processing in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Google reserves the right to collect, store and evaluate certain transaction-specific information for every transaction made via Google Pay. This includes the date, time and amount of the transaction, merchant location and description, a description of the goods or services purchased provided by the merchant, photos you have attached to the transaction, the name and email address of the seller and buyer or sender and recipient, the payment method used, your description of the reason for the transaction and, where applicable, the offer associated with the transaction.
According to Google, this processing is carried out exclusively in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of the legitimate interest in proper accounting, the verification of transaction data and the optimisation and maintenance of the Google Pay service.
Google also reserves the right to combine the processed transaction data with other information collected and stored by Google when other Google services are used.
The Google Pay terms of use can be found here:

- PayPal
When paying via PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – "pay by invoice" or “instalments” via PayPal, we pass on your payment data to PayPal (Europe) S.a.r.l. et Cie, S.C.A., 22-24 Boulevard Royal, L-2449 Luxembourg (hereinafter "PayPal") as part of payment processing. This is done in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR and only insofar as it is necessary for payment processing.
For the payment methods credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal or – if offered – "pay by invoice" or “instalments” via PayPal, PayPal reserves the right to carry out a credit check. For this purpose, your payment data may be passed on to credit agencies in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of PayPal's legitimate interest in determining your ability to pay. PayPal uses the result of the credit check in relation to the statistical probability of default to decide whether to provide the respective payment method. The credit report may contain probability values (so-called score values). Where score values are included in the result of the credit report, they are based on a scientifically recognised mathematical-statistical procedure. Address data, among other things, is included in the calculation of the score values. Further data protection information, including on the credit agencies used, can be found in PayPal's privacy policy: https://www.paypal.com/de/webapps/mpp/ua/privacy-full
You can object to this processing of your data at any time by sending a message to PayPal. However, PayPal may remain entitled to process your personal data if this is necessary for contractual payment processing.
- Shopify Payments
We use the payment service provider "Shopify Payments", 3rd Floor, Europa House, Harcourt Building, Harcourt Street, Dublin 2. If you choose a payment method offered via Shopify Payments, payment is processed via the technical service provider Stripe Payments Europe Ltd., 1 Grand Canal Street Lower, Grand Canal Dock, Dublin, Ireland, to whom we pass on the information you provide during the ordering process together with information about your order (name, address, account number, bank sort code, credit card number if applicable, invoice amount, currency and transaction number) in accordance with Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. Your data is passed on exclusively for the purpose of payment processing with Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. and only insofar as this is necessary. Further information on Shopify Payments' data protection is available at: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy.
Data protection information on Stripe Payments Europe Ltd. can be found here: https://stripe.com/de/privacy

8) Use of social media: videos

8.1 Use of Vimeo videos

Our website integrates plugins of the video portal Vimeo, operated by Vimeo, LLC, 555 West 18th Street, New York, New York 10011, USA. When you visit a page of our website that contains such a plugin, your browser establishes a direct connection to Vimeo's servers. The content of the plugin is transmitted by Vimeo directly to your browser and integrated into the page. Through this integration, Vimeo receives the information that your browser has accessed the corresponding page of our website, even if you do not have a Vimeo account or are not currently logged in to Vimeo. This information (including your IP address) is transmitted by your browser directly to a Vimeo server in the USA and stored there.
If you are logged in to Vimeo, Vimeo can directly assign your visit to our website to your Vimeo account. If you interact with the plugins (e.g. by pressing the start button of a video), this information is also transmitted directly to a Vimeo server and stored there.

The data processing operations described are carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of Vimeo's legitimate interest in market research and in designing the Vimeo service to meet demand.

If you do not want Vimeo to directly assign the data collected via our website to your Vimeo account, you must log out of Vimeo before visiting our website.

For the purpose and scope of data collection and the further processing and use of the data by Vimeo, as well as your rights in this regard and settings options for protecting your privacy, please refer to Vimeo's privacy policy: https://vimeo.com/privacy

Vimeo videos embedded on our site automatically integrate the tracking tool Google Analytics of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland. This is Vimeo's own tracking, to which we have no access and which cannot be influenced by us. Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies” for tracking, which are text files stored on your computer that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there; this may also involve a transfer to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.

This processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of Vimeo's legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behaviour for optimisation and marketing purposes.

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data described above in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To withdraw your consent, deactivate this service in the "cookie consent tool" provided on the website.

8.2 Use of YouTube videos

This website uses the YouTube embedding function to display and play videos from the provider “YouTube”, which belongs to Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”).

The extended privacy mode is used, which according to the provider only starts storing user information when the video(s) are played. When playback of embedded YouTube videos starts, the provider “YouTube” uses cookies to collect information about user behaviour. According to “YouTube”, these serve, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness and prevent abusive practices. If you are logged in to Google, your data will be assigned directly to your account when you click on a video. If you do not want your data to be associated with your YouTube profile, you must log out before activating the button. Google stores your data (even for users who are not logged in) as usage profiles and evaluates them. Such evaluation is carried out in particular in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of Google's legitimate interests in displaying personalised advertising, market research and/or designing its website to meet demand. You have the right to object to the creation of these user profiles, which you must exercise by contacting YouTube. The use of YouTube may also involve the transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
Regardless of whether the embedded videos are played, a connection to the Google network is established each time this website is accessed, which may trigger further data processing operations beyond our control.

Further information on data protection at “YouTube” can be found in the provider's privacy policy at: https://www.google.de/intl/de/policies/privacy

Where legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data described above in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To withdraw your consent, deactivate this service in the "cookie consent tool" provided on the website.

9) Web analytics services

9.1 Google (Universal) Analytics
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google"). Google (Universal) Analytics uses so-called "cookies", which are text files stored on your device that enable an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookie about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there; this may also involve a transfer to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics exclusively with the extension "_anonymizeIp()", which ensures anonymisation of the IP address by shortening it and rules out direct personal reference. With this extension, your IP address is first shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other states party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transmitted to a Google LLC server in the USA and shortened there. On our behalf, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on website activity and to provide us with other services relating to website and internet use. The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google (Universal) Analytics is not combined with other Google data.
Google Analytics also enables, via a special function known as “demographic characteristics”, the creation of statistics on the age, gender and interests of site visitors based on an evaluation of interest-based advertising and with the help of third-party information. This allows user groups of the website to be defined and differentiated for the purpose of targeting marketing measures. However, data records collected via “demographic characteristics” cannot be assigned to a specific person.
All the processing described above, in particular the setting of Google Analytics cookies for reading information on the device used, is only carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without this consent, Google Analytics will not be used during your visit.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To withdraw your consent, please deactivate this service in the “cookie consent tool” provided on the website. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics, which obliges Google to protect the data of our site visitors and not to pass it on to third parties.
For the transfer of data from the EU to the USA, Google relies on the so-called standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection in the USA.
Further information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de

9.2 Google (Universal) Analytics without cookies
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland ("Google").
This website uses Google (Universal) Analytics exclusively without cookies, which means that the service never sets cookies on your device.
Instead, your browser's local storage is used to store an individual ID assigned by Google (Universal) Analytics, which enables an analysis of your use of the website. For this purpose, certain user information is processed via the ID.
The information generated by the ID about your use of this website (including the shortened IP address) is usually transmitted to a Google server and stored there; this may also involve a transfer to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
The IP address transmitted by your browser as part of Google (Universal) Analytics is combined with other Google data.
All the processing described above is only carried out if you have given us your express consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without this consent, Google Analytics will not be used during your visit.
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To do so, you can download and install the browser plug-in available at the following link:
https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de
As an alternative to the browser plug-in, or within browsers on mobile devices, you can withdraw your consent by clicking the following link to set an opt-out cookie that prevents Google Analytics from collecting data on this website in future (this opt-out cookie only works in this browser and only for this domain; if you delete the cookies in this browser, you will need to click the link again):
Disable Google Analytics
We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics, which obliges Google to protect the data of our site visitors and not to pass it on to third parties.
For the transfer of data from the EU to the USA, Google relies on the so-called standard contractual clauses of the European Commission, which are intended to ensure compliance with the European level of data protection in the USA.
Further information on Google (Universal) Analytics can be found here: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de&gl=de

10) Retargeting / remarketing / referral advertising

Google Ads Remarketing
Our website uses the functions of Google Ads Remarketing, with which we advertise this website in Google search results and on third-party websites. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, 4 Barrow St, Dublin, D04 E5W5, Ireland (“Google”). For this purpose, Google sets a cookie in your device's browser, which automatically enables interest-based advertising using a pseudonymous cookie ID and based on the pages you visit. Processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interest in the optimal marketing of our website in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Further data processing only takes place if you have agreed with Google that your web and app browsing history may be linked to your Google account and that information from your Google account may be used to personalise ads you see on the web. If, in this case, you are logged in to Google while visiting our website, Google uses your data together with Google Analytics data to create and define target audience lists for cross-device remarketing. To do this, Google temporarily links your personal data with Google Analytics data to form target groups. The use of Google Ads Remarketing may also involve the transfer of personal data to the servers of Google LLC in the USA.
You can permanently object to the setting of cookies by Google Ads Remarketing by downloading and installing the Google browser plug-in available at the following link:
https://www.google.com/settings/ads/onweb/
Further information and the privacy policy regarding advertising and Google can be found here:
https://www.google.com/policies/technologies/ads/
Where legally required, we have obtained your consent to the processing of your data described above in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. To withdraw your consent, deactivate this service in the "cookie consent tool" provided on the website or, alternatively, use the option to object described above.

11) Tools and other services

Cookie consent tool based on Usercentrics technology

To obtain valid user consent for cookies and cookie-based applications that require consent, this website uses a cookie consent tool with technology from Usercentrics GmbH, Rosental 4, 80331 Munich, Germany (hereinafter “Usercentrics”).

By integrating the corresponding JavaScript code, users are shown a banner when they access the site, in which they can give consent to certain cookies and/or cookie-based applications by ticking boxes. The tool blocks the setting of all cookies requiring consent until the respective user gives the corresponding consent by ticking the boxes. This ensures that such cookies are only set on the user's device if consent has been given.

To enable the cookie consent tool to clearly assign page views to individual users and to individually record, log and store the consent settings made by the user for the duration of a session, certain user information (including the IP address) is collected by the cookie consent tool when you visit our website, transmitted to Usercentrics' servers and stored there.

This data processing is carried out in accordance with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR on the basis of our legitimate interest in legally compliant, user-specific and user-friendly consent management for cookies and thus in a legally compliant design of our website.

A further legal basis for the data processing described is Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR. As the controller, we are subject to the legal obligation to make the use of technically unnecessary cookies dependent on the respective user's consent.

We have concluded a data processing agreement with Usercentrics, which obliges Usercentrics to protect the data of visitors to our website and not to pass it on to third parties.

Further information on data use by Usercentrics can be found in the Usercentrics privacy policy at https://usercentrics.com/privacy-policy/

12) Rights of the data subject

12.1 Applicable data protection law grants you comprehensive data subject rights (rights to information and intervention) vis-à-vis the controller with regard to the processing of your personal data, about which we inform you below:

  • Right of access under Art. 15 GDPR: In particular, you have the right to information about your personal data processed by us, the purposes of processing, the categories of personal data processed, the recipients or categories of recipients to whom your data has been or will be disclosed, the planned storage period or the criteria for determining the storage period, the existence of a right to rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection to processing, complaint to a supervisory authority, the origin of your data if it was not collected from you by us, the existence of automated decision-making including profiling and, where applicable, meaningful information about the logic involved and the significance and envisaged consequences of such processing for you, as well as your right to be informed about the safeguards under Art. 46 GDPR when your data is transferred to third countries;
  • Right to rectification under Art. 16 GDPR: You have the right to have inaccurate data concerning you rectified without delay and/or incomplete data stored by us completed;
  • Right to erasure under Art. 17 GDPR: You have the right to request the erasure of your personal data if the conditions of Art. 17(1) GDPR are met. However, this right does not apply in particular if the processing is necessary for exercising the right of freedom of expression and information, for compliance with a legal obligation, for reasons of public interest or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims;
  • Right to restriction of processing under Art. 18 GDPR: You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data while the accuracy of your data that you dispute is being verified, if you refuse the erasure of your data due to unlawful processing and instead request the restriction of the processing of your data, if you need your data for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims after we no longer need this data once the purpose has been achieved, or if you have lodged an objection on grounds relating to your particular situation, as long as it has not yet been determined whether our legitimate grounds override yours;
  • Right to notification under Art. 19 GDPR: If you have asserted the right to rectification, erasure or restriction of processing against the controller, the controller is obliged to communicate this rectification or erasure of data or restriction of processing to all recipients to whom the personal data concerning you has been disclosed, unless this proves impossible or involves disproportionate effort. You have the right to be informed about these recipients.
  • Right to data portability under Art. 20 GDPR: You have the right to receive your personal data that you have provided to us in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format or to request that it be transmitted to another controller, where technically feasible;
  • Right to withdraw consent under Art. 7(3) GDPR: You have the right to withdraw consent to the processing of data once given at any time with effect for the future. 13) Duration of storage of personal data

The duration of storage of personal data is determined by the respective legal basis, the purpose of processing and – where relevant – the respective statutory retention period (e.g. retention periods under commercial and tax law).

Where personal data is processed on the basis of express consent in accordance with Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, this data is stored until the data subject withdraws their consent.

Where statutory retention periods exist for data processed in the context of legal or quasi-legal obligations on the basis of Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR, this data is routinely deleted after the retention periods have expired, provided it is no longer required for the performance or initiation of a contract and/or we no longer have a legitimate interest in continuing to store it.

Where personal data is processed on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, this data is stored until the data subject exercises their right to object under Art. 21(1) GDPR, unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override the interests, rights and freedoms of the data subject, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.

Where personal data is processed for direct marketing purposes on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, this data is stored until the data subject exercises their right to object under Art. 21(2) GDPR.

Unless otherwise stated in the other information in this policy about specific processing situations, stored personal data will otherwise be deleted when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed.
