Number plate holder sizes
Number plate holder sizes – how to find the right version
Number plates are not the same height everywhere. With a standard width of 520 mm, the height varies between 110 and 120 mm depending on the country and the plate maker. That's why the only thing that matters when choosing your number plate holder is the height, not the width.
How to measure your number plate
Hold a ruler or tape measure against the outer edge of your number plate and measure the height in several places – left, centre and right. The readings should match. If the plate is bent or damaged, the measurement won't be reliable; in that case, go by the size of a new plate.
Overview of suitable models
| Product | Plate height (at 520 mm width) | Suitable countries (examples) |
|---|---|---|
| PLEXICLICK® V1 | 110 mm | Netherlands, Croatia, Norway, Spain |
| PLEXICLICK® V1.3D | 3D and acrylic plates | Germany |
| PLEXICLICK® V2 | 112–113 mm | Germany, Greece |
| PLEXICLICK® V3 | 120 mm | Austria, Slovenia |
| DEZENTOFIX® V1 | 110 mm | Netherlands, Croatia, Norway, Spain |
| DEZENTOFIX® V2 | 112–113 mm | Germany, Greece |
Check the height of your number plate in several places with a ruler or tape measure. The plate must be undamaged and not bent, otherwise the measurement won't be reliable.
PLEXICLICK® or DEZENTOFIX®?
Neither system carries any dealer advertising. PLEXICLICK® is completely frameless and uses two clips per plate – so it also works with short plates and is available in clear and black. DEZENTOFIX® has an ultra-slim surround, comes in black and is designed for standard 520 mm wide plates.
